Our first year in pictures

It's hard to believe that Matt and I have been married for a year already!  I'm so thankful that God gave me the patience I needed so I could meet Matt. I couldn't imagine a more perfect calm to my crazy. Matt has showed me how to love deeply and fully. They say the first year of marriage is the hardest, it's been anything but that. How lucky and thankful I am to be his wife. Here's to many more!

First married Christmas :)

New Years eve (and we agreed our last one to go out on!)

Our free cake for our one year. It was delicious, but I'm pretty sure my mom enjoyed it more then we did!

Picture before our AMAZING meal at Del Friscos, still drooling over my steak and complimentary cheese cake they served for us!

We had 3 weddings in our first year of marriage. This was my friend Heather's outdoor vintage wedding. So pretty and she was agorgeous bride!

We dog sat for the 4th time :) Love my lilybell!

We babysat our sweet nieces and nephew.

Welcomed our 3rd niece to the world!

Matt turned 31!

It's been a fun first year, I can't wait to see what this next year will bring us :)

December

Well the month of December brought us much joy and a little bit of a backache as well :)

Matt has been wanting to drive an SUV for a while so we went "looking" for cars and really fell in love with a newer version of my 4 runner but it wasn't in the cards.  Then when we went back a second time we came upon this gem.
They gave us full blue book value for Matt's nissan, so we got it!
Now Matt has been in a wreck before because a teengaer rear ended his last car and totaled it so I think he must have bad luck because a week after we got this car this happened...

Sitting at a stop light on Northwest hwy the guy behind us decided his light had turned green and slammed right on in to us.  Luckily the little car took it like a champ!  We got a new bumper out of the deal but had some neck and backaches for a while to go along with it.  I hope I'm never in a wreck again, it was kind of scary.

Next December brought us our first married Christmas which was very special.  We spent Christmas eve with his family ( I missed my mom's tortilla soup and Emily's queso though) where we all exchanged gifts and had a nice dinner together.  I love traditions and I feel it is important that Matt and I incorporate our own in to our new little family so we got stockings and "Santa" filled them with some goodies which we exchanged Christmas morning before going to mom and dad's house.  We had fun watching Camp and Ellis rip in to the presents.  Ellis picked up pretty quickly on how to open hers which was hilarious to watch.  All in all a pretty good day together with the family.

Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and our cute little tree!

My favorite Christmas cards.  We have the cutest nieces and nephews I can hardly stand it!

What a great first Christmas we had and enjoyed every minute of it!

Happy New year!
